Company History

Jomar Anne Health Marketing Incorporated . (JAHMI) is a Yakult distributor that focuses on the areas of Panay and Guimaras Islands. The company was born out of its previous identities, D & D Marketing established in 1978, and Jomar Anne Marketing which was established in 1980. JAHMI embodies the core values of dedication and hard work. The perseverance to strive harder and the passion to want to give their very best shines through. The company has a rich history of sustained success having been in operation in the Philippines for over 37 years.

In 1980, the company became the second distributor in the Philippines to focus solely on distributing Yakult. Yakult is a probiotics dairy product made by fermenting a mixture of skimmed milk with a special strain of the bacterium Lactobacillus Casei Shirota strain. This special strain unique to Yakult, was discovered in 1930 by Japanese Scientist Dr. Minoru Shirota. Multiple studies have shown that daily consumption of Yakult has been scientifically proven to improve digestion and help the immune system.

JAHMI was awarded with the ‘Best Distributor Award’ for the entire Philippines in 1999, 2000, and 2001 by Yakult Philippines Incorporated. A record-breaking three years in a row. Not to be outdone, astonishingly, they then shattered their own record by winning this award again a record-breaking four times in a row during the years of 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

JAHMI’s corporate philosophy revolves around Shirota-ism. A set of objectives created by Dr. Shirota. The first principle is the importance of preventive medicine. Rather than treat a disease after people have fallen ill, it is important to prevent disease in advance. The second principle is that a healthy intestinal tract leads to a long life. Nutrients are absorbed through the intestines. Therefore, a healthy intestinal tract will allow us to enjoy a longer, healthier life. The third and final principle is bringing good health at an affordable price. Deliver Yakult and it’s intestine-fortifying benefit to as many people as possible at a price that is affordable.
